This is a ‘flagship’ course and is internationally popular. The course covers all major areas of Project Management such as Risk, Stakeholders, Communication, Negotiation, Team Selection, Finance, Project Support Functions and Planning/Estimating but does so in a unique manner.
Most Project Management courses focus on the Tools and Techniques of Project Management (the ‘what' to do) but this course focuses on the Management Disciplines required to manage a successful project (the ‘why’ something happens in a project, and 'how' it can be improved). We advocate against ‘firefighting’ and actively encourage proactive and forward thinking project management.
The course also focuses extensively on personal and soft skills. Projects most often fail not because of a “technical project plan is incorrect,” but rather a breakdown in communications, team dynamics, project leadership issues and/or personal conflict issues.
